  1. Resolved Question: Are cattle prods illegal?
  2. 30 May 2008 at 2:19pm
The dang little kids in my hood won't stay out of my yard and the candy bowl on the porch. I used a cattle prod that I had from when I was a cowboy for Christmas and zapped them a few times to prove my point. One of the ugly little brats called his lawyer and now I have to go to court. I didn't even have the thing turned up! I also punched one of the little girls but she didn't call her lawyer, she 'manned up' What is wrong with this little wimp?

  3. Resolved Question: What does Gen.1:26-27 tell us about God and about man?
  4. 30 May 2008 at 10:56am
Gen 1:26 Then Elohim said, "Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Gen 1:27 Elohim created man in His own image, in the image of Elohim He created him; male and female He created them. Notice this simular language Gen 5:3 When Adam had lived one hundred and thirty years, he became the father of a son in his OWN LIKENESS, according to HIS IMAGE, and named * him Seth. and from the tanach Gen 1:26-27. And God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and they shall rule over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the heaven and over the animals and over all the earth and over all the creeping things that creep upon the earth." And God created man in His image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. http://www.chabad.org/ Compare the above witht he following passages. Gen 1:21 God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good . Gen 1:24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind "; and it was so. Gen 1:25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good . What does this say about our potential?

  5. Resolved Question: Is the price of beef going up or down the next coming months?
  6. 30 May 2008 at 5:20am
Famers are selling their cattle for meat cause of the high price to feed them. Does this mean the short term beef prices will come down, but in the long term the prices will go up from a shortage of beef? Should I go out now and stock my freezer with beef, or wait for the prices to go lower?

  17. Resolved Question: Getting rid of black wasp or they might be blue mud dauber?
  18. 29 May 2008 at 4:10pm
I live in TX and we have these wasp looking things that fly into the house. They look like black wasp but when we do kill them they are more blue. My question is how to get rid of them, we live out in the country on 300 acres with cattle and we dont want to use any chemicals that might harm the cattle or our garden.

I looked it up and apparently they do. Thanks for the guesses!

  21. Resolved Question: Do I wear a suit to this job interview or not ?
  22. 29 May 2008 at 12:46pm
i have an interivew for a "head teller" position at a bank in 2 hours. I would basically be an assistant manager to the "operations manager" (the manager who is directly in charge of the tellers). I live in Biloxi,Ms....its about 90 degrees outside right now. If i walked in there wearing a suit for my interview, would it be seen as "good", or seen as "man that guy is crazy, doesnt he know its 90 degrees outside." I only have one suit, it is a black pin-stripe suit. If i had a kakhi colored one, this wouldnt even be an issure, I would feel more comfotable and confident. But with this suit being black, and it being so hot outiside.....Im going to be second guessing myself,if im breaking some type of fashion rule, and being looked at like an idiot. (kinda like how the fake cowboy is the only one wearing a felt hat in the middle of the summer, because his posing self isnt outside building fences or handling cattle like the real cowboy who knows well enough to wear a straw hat.)Please help.

  23. Resolved Question: Revise My Essay Please?
  24. 29 May 2008 at 11:27am
Aquitaine is a region of France whose wine production and agriculture are cardinally significant to Frances economy. France relies eminently on Aquitaine because it is a primary source for France?s exports. Aquitaine?s paramount interests are in cattle, forestry, and wine production. Aquitaine attracts tourists because of its wineries, farms, and ravishing coasts. A notorious tourist attraction is Biarritz. Biarritz features beautiful castles and gorgeous beaches. Aquitaine?s total area covers 7.6% of France. Aquitaine consists of fourteen major communities, one of which is Bordeaux (the largest wine region in France). Bordeaux has over 13,000 grape growers and earns 14.5 billion dollars annually. Victor Hugo once described this beautiful region as ?take Versailles, add Antwerp, and you have Bordeaux.? Aquitaine also has a wide variety of cultures. Not only does this region have French but it also has Italians, Spaniards, Portuguese, Germans and North Africans. Aquitaine?s population ranks fifth in France with 1,200,000 inhabitants. Aquitaine is located along the European Atlantic coast in the Southwest of France. This region is accessible by both TGV and airplane. Aquitaine is the most famous red wine-producing region in the world. These red wine regions include Pomerol, Saint-Emilion, Graves and the Médoc. From white and red wines to brandy, Bordeaux produces it. Along with its many alcohols, Aquitaine is also famous for its food. Some food products in this area include pâtés, truffles, cassoulet, and Canelés. Aquitaine is unique because each region produces a different product making Aquitaine one of the richest sellers in all of France.

  31. Resolved Question: Please help me with this question!!!?
  32. 29 May 2008 at 12:20am
Can someone explain to me, simply, how to cryopreserve cattle? We're doing a project in my science class where we need to pretend like we're building a colony on Mars. One of my assignments was to find out how we could take livestock without having to actually take and feed a bunch of cows. So, if you can help me, please list a source so I can go and find the information. Thanks so much! Sorry, I meant to say cattle embryos. That, I guess, would be better because they wouldn't take up as much space.

  37. Resolved Question: ASDA- American Shepherd Dog registration, what do you think?
  38. 28 May 2008 at 6:44pm
I don't really intend to carry this out, because of lack of time and young age, but i think its a cool idea, suggestions or creative criticism please! All of the following information is written in present perspective, although it does not exist... yet. ASDA The ASDA is the American Shepherd Dog Association. It is a collection of 18 dog breeds, listed below. Dog Breeds included in the ASDA: Australian Cattle Dog Australian Shepherd Bearded Collie Beauceron Belgian Malinois Belgian Sheepdog Belgian Tervuren Border Collie Bouvier des Flandres Briard Canaan Dog Collie German Shepherd Dog Old English Sheepdog Polish Lowland Sheepdog Puli Shetland Sheepdog Swedish Vallhund All dogs belonging to the ASDA must be atleast 13 inches at the withers*. All dogs will be judged in accordance to their AKC breed standard. Their are three levels a dog belonging to the ASDA may reach. Only dogs born of ASDA parents may be ASDA registered. * Swedish Vallhund's measure from 12.5 to 13.5 inches at the whithers, this breed is an exception. Level 1: Pedigree All dogs wishing to be registered with the ASDA must have parents who have all three levels of registraion. Any dog that can prove its pedigree has a level one registration. level 2: Conformation After the age of seven months any ASDA registered dog has the opportunity to find an ASDA OR AKC judge and have their dog judged according to the standards for their breed. Any dog that has a level one registration (Pedigree) and is judged to be of good standard may continue on to level three registration. Level 3: Shepherd Any dog who has both Level 1 and Level 2 registration are open to participate in the yearly herding challenges offered by the ASDA. A dog who passes certain herding challenges may receive this level conformation. Level + :Health One a year every year dogs must be vet checked for sickness and disease. Any dogs carrying a disease which can be passed to its pups or to the other breeding dog, will have its registration completely void until it can be proven that the disease is not present in the dog. This level is renewed every year and any dog who intends to breed must have it. Only after receiving ALL FOUR levels of registration, Pedigree, Conformation and Registration will the offspring of an ASDA registered dog be able to be registered with The ASDA. The whole point of the ASDA would be to promote the integrity of herding breeds by demanding they both comply to the breed standards and can herd. This continues the original purpose, and looks of the breed. When the registration starts, I will obviously need to allow any AKC registered dogs to join. The point of judging the dogs is so that they will comply with the standards of the herding breeds, which the ASDA is trying to save. The ASDA would be a purebred registration that required both herding and judging of purebred dogs, in order to promote the integrity of herding breeds, while still using them for their original use. Mutts and mixed breeds would absolutely not be accepted, because it would in some ways encourage the breeding of mixed breeds, which the ASDA in against. The whole point of the registration levels is to make it so that only the best dogs have puppies; this prevents extra puppies AND means that all registered puppies have guaranteed health and excellent breeding lines. Randee Tas poses an interesting point. At the beginning of the ASDA, only those 18 Akc herding breeds will be accepted, but just like the Akc, over time we wil expand to include more breeds, such as the Catahoula Leopard dog and German Coolie. Yes, animal_a... there is a reason why i have chosen to exclude both Samoyed's and Rottwielers. THe reason is that, although they may both be used for herding, they are no longer bred for herding. Rottweilers were bred in Germany as herding dogs, but were quickly switched to beasts of burden used to pull carts and carry wood, no longer bred to herd. Now they are mostly bred for guard dogs, police dogs, and pets. Samoyed's were originally bred for herding reindeer and pulling sleds in Siberia, but are not often used as herders in the US, however due to the recent looking up of Samoyed's I would heavily consider adding them along with other herding stock breeds . Dane lover © Kasey Kahne Rocks, um that is exactly what happens, a dog whose parents have all 4 levels of registration has automatically level 1 registration, and he/she too must work through all four levels. About the Sammy's and Rottie's your right they are akc acceptable, they just dont show up on the group page. Great Dane lover © Kasey Kahne Rocks "Instead of allowing all AKC registered dogs to join, make them go through all the levels first, that way you don't have bad examples of the breed, just like AKC does." That is exactly what I would do, any dog who originally registers with the ASDA, whether it is the original Akc dog who begin it, or the pups centuries later will have to reach all 4 levels in order to breed.

  41. Resolved Question: Legal suggestions? Is this "Abuse of Power" by NV highway ...
  42. 28 May 2008 at 3:15pm
My husband and I volunteer at a JH school in San Jose, CA and wanted to take some of the kids to a cattle ranch in Montana over Memorial Day. We didn't have the money but found a non-profit willing to sponsor the trip. It's a 28 hour road trip, one way, and we only got one taker, so to save money for the non-profit, we took our car (a Toyota echo which gets great gas mileage). On the way there, we stopped to gas up in Winnemucca, Nevada at 11:30 pm. We were getting back on the freeway, but were pulled over by a policeman and given a ticket for driving 30mph in a 25 mph zone. The officer was arrogant and rude and we couldn't understand his attitude (animosity for Californian license plates, maybe?), but the $97.00 cost of the ticket was discouraging. We had a great time and but on driving back, recieved another ticket in Winnemucca. This time, it was me driving and the details are: It was 75 mph speed limit. I was speeding (approx 85 to 90) on the freeway. I've never recieved a speeding ticket before and don't ever drive over 90 as it makes me nervous. Since I was driving past Winnemucca again, I was being extra careful (I thought) by only driving about 85 in the 75 mph zone. The cop car appeared suddenly and staied behind me as I dropped my speed quickly to 70. He flashed his lights and I pulled over immediately. He was arrogant and rude. He harrassed me, told me I was going 100, mocked me when I told him I hadn't gone over 90. I believe in being respectful to officers, but I've never had an experience like this in my life. The man threatened to take me down to the jail and lock me up but said he didn't want to because than he'd have to have the car towed. I was so upset, I just kept quiet, and my husband answered for me. He stayed calm, which was good because this guy was beligerent and seemed to be looking for an excuse to do more to us. We would have paid the first ticket, but after the second experience we're wondering... should we fight them both? It seems like such an example of abusive power, and we didn't have the money for the first ticket, let alone the second one. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

  55. Voting Question: Let me ask you question: Is this offensive to young people?
  56. 27 May 2008 at 11:01pm
For everyone that curses his Father or Mother, He will be surley be put to death. Psalms: Happy shal he be that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. (Numbers 31:7-18) They warred against Midian, as the Lord commanded Moses, and slew every male. ... And the people of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones.... And Moses was angry with the officers of the army.... Moses said to them, "Have you let all the women live? ... Now therefore, kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him. But all the young girls who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." (Deuteronomy 20:13-16) "... when the Lord your God gives it into your hand you shall put all its males to the sword, but the women and the little ones, the cattle, and everything else in the city, all its spoil, you shall take as booty for yourselves; and you shall enjoy the spoil of your enemies, which the Lord your God has given you. Thus you shall do to all the cities which are far from you, which are not cities of the nations here. But in the cities of these peoples that the Lord your God gives you for an inheritance, you shall save alive nothing that breathes, but you shall utterly destroy them... as the Lord your God has commanded." And if thats not proof enough, GOD KILLED HIS OWN DAMN SON.

  59. Resolved Question: Is Obama a Post Turtle?
  60. 27 May 2008 at 6:19pm
Post Turtle While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher, whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be our President. The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'post turtle'.' Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was. The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.' The old rancher saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just wonder what kind of a dumb ass put him up there!.''

A Texan farmer goes to Australia for a vacation. There he meets an Aussie farmer and gets talking. The Aussie shows off his big wheat field and the Texan says, "Oh! We have wheat fields that are at least twice as large". Then they walk around the ranch a little, and the Aussie shows off his herd of cattle. The Texan immediately says, " We have longhorns that are at least twice as large as your cows". The conversation has, meanwhile, almost died when the Texan sees a herd of kangaroos hopping through the field. He asked, "And what are those"? The Aussie replies with an incredulous look, "Don't you have any grasshoppers in Texas"?
